The objective of this mission effort, sponsored by Samaritan’s Purse, Inc., is to collect and deliver shoe boxes filled with toys, educational supplies, and a Gospel pamphlet written in their language to children in war-torn or poverty stricken countries around the Christmas season.
Beginning each fall, A Lead Team plans and leads promotional efforts to encourage church families to touch children’s lives with the love of Christ by packing shoe boxes and bringing them to worship for dedication. Many families in the church have made this a traditional part of their Christmas giving.
In addition, Oliver’s Grove has worked with their neighbors, The 301 Brothers Motorcycle Club to collect items for this mission effort.

Choices Pregnancy Center (CPC) is a Christian organization empowering those facing unplanned pregnancies by ministering to their spiritual, emotional, and practical needs. Oliver’s Grove financially supports CPC, doing business as In His Hands Life Ministry, Inc. founded in 2007. Choices is a 501-3C nonprofit, faith-based, pro-life ministry and affiliate members of Heartbeat International, CareNet, and NIFLA.
CPC offers information, compassion, and support to women and men who are facing difficult pregnancy decisions. CPC makes sure that everyone who walks in their door has the opportunity to hear the Gospel message because only Jesus can change hearts and transform lives.
The Johnston Baptist Association was organized in 1903, for the purpose of joining together for the glory and work of our Lord, Jesus Christ. Composed of more than 70 churches throughout six counties, our network works cooperatively to fulfill the Great Commission, and to strengthen, facilitate, and inspire our network churches to advance the gospel. In 2021 the association rebranded itself to the Triangle East Baptist Association in order to remove “boundary-specific” limitations and to incorporate twelve additional member churches from six neighboring counties.
As a result of the exponential growth in these areas, we look to develop strategies, and equip each other for the task ahead of “Pushing Back the Darkness…One Church Plant at a Time”.
